BSO - Mozart Meets Latin Masters

Giancarlo Guerrero conducts the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in a program connecting the rhythmic energy and expressive lyricism of Latin American and classical traditions. The concert features music by Ginastera, Bruch, Mozart, and Piazzolla, with violinist Jonathan Carney joining the orchestra.

The program moves from Ginastera’s dance-driven *Estancia* to Bruch’s warm, folk-inspired *Scottish Fantasy*, Mozart’s elegant Symphony No. 31, “Paris,” and Piazzolla’s vivid *Sinfonía Buenos Aires*. Guerrero, a six-time GRAMMY® Award winner, leads this exploration of music shaped by folk traditions, urban life, rhythmic pulse, and moments of clarity and warmth.
