Gianandrea Noseda leads the National Symphony Orchestra in a cinematic program of three iconic works. Rimsky-Korsakov’s *Scheherazade* unfolds an opulent story of adventure and intrigue, Mussorgsky’s *Pictures at an Exhibition* presents a series of strange and fantastical scenes in Ravel’s celebrated orchestration, and Ravel’s *Boléro* builds a single insistent rhythm toward an ecstatic conclusion.

When: Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 7 p.m.

Venue: Center for the Arts, Concert Hall, George Mason University’s Fairfax Campus.

Conductor: Gianandrea Noseda.

Program: Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s *Scheherazade*; Modest Mussorgsky’s *Pictures at an Exhibition*, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel; and Maurice Ravel’s *Boléro*.

Tickets: $97, $68, or $42, with fees included.

Presales begin August 21 for eligible groups, including NSO members and donors, recent NSO subscribers, NSO musicians, and Friends and subscribers of the Center for the Arts and Hylton Performing Arts Center, as well as current College of Visual and Performing Arts faculty and staff.
