Ghostwoman

Ghostwoman performs with Croaker at Pearl Street Warehouse in support of Ghostwoman’s fourth album, *Welcome to the Civilized World*. The record is presented as a visceral reaction to corruption, turmoil, and the modern world’s social and political sickness, created from instinct and necessity rather than optimism.

The project began when multi-instrumentalist Evan Uschenko recorded a self-released debut in an abandoned farmhouse in Alberta. After meeting drummer Ille van Dessel in Edmonton, Ghostwoman developed into a two-person collision of abrasive guitar textures and forceful, caustic drumming. Uschenko and van Dessel handled every part of *Welcome to the Civilized World* themselves, from its earliest ideas through the finished recording.
