Michael Douglas
Michael Douglas presents *One Helluva Ride*, an account of his life and career, from a fractured childhood and the shadow of his father, legendary actor Kirk Douglas, to his work in twelve of his most notable films. The Academy Award-, Golden Globe-, and Emmy Award-winning actor and producer will discuss his early career, major professional breakthroughs, and the personal challenges that accompanied his growing fame.
Douglas will appear in conversation with Kelly Corrigan, a four-time *New York Times* bestselling memoirist, children’s book author, podcast host of “Kelly Corrigan Wonders,” and host of PBS’s “Tell Me More.” Their conversation will address Douglas’s first Oscar for producing *One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest*, his decision to leave *The Streets of San Francisco*, his second Oscar for *Wall Street*, struggles involving marriage, infidelity, substance use, rehabilitation, his son’s addiction and imprisonment, and his battle with stage IV cancer. He will also recount meeting Catherine Zeta-Jones and the enduring relationship that followed more than twenty-five years of marriage.
