Gianandrea Noseda, music director of the National Symphony Orchestra, leads a program that celebrates American composers across film, Broadway, and opera. Soprano Renée Fleming joins the orchestra for this evening at Wolf Trap’s Filene Center. The concert begins with Peter Boyer’s *American Mosaic*, a visual-music project pairing his orchestral work with photographs by Joe Sohm from all 50 United States. After that, the program turns to Bernstein’s *West Side Story* Symphonic Dances and the overture from his operetta *Candide*, followed by Gershwin’s jazz-infused *An American in Paris*.
