Season Kick Off Party & IMGE Dance

Season Kick Off Party & IMGE Dance combines an opening celebration with a performance by IMGE Dance, a transcultural ensemble founded in 2017 by Artistic Director Ishita Mili. The company brings together Indian and American classical, folk, street, and contemporary movement traditions, reworking them to explore how movement shapes and connects human experience.

IMGE Dance’s work examines belonging, the complexity of multiple identities, and mythic ways of explaining reality. The ensemble includes artists from diverse backgrounds and presents choreography that crosses cultural and stylistic boundaries.
