Stand-Up Showcase brings four comedians to the DC Improv Lounge for an evening of varied stand-up styles and up-close performances. The lineup features talent from the DMV, New York, the United Kingdom, and beyond, with material spanning personal stories, sharp observations, satire, disability and identity, relationships, and the absurdities of everyday life.

The showcase highlights emerging and established performers who have appeared at major comedy festivals, opened for nationally recognized comedians, and performed at venues across the United States and internationally. The event is designed to support local comedy while introducing audiences to some of the next generation of standout comics.

Dom Grayer: A DMV-based comedian known for a laid-back, honest style. He has opened for Shane Gillis, Leonard Ouzts, and Guy Torry. His Instagram is @domgrayer.

Liam Nelson: A New York City comedian originally from Atlanta, Nelson is seven feet tall and lives with Marfan syndrome. His comedy draws on the experience of being a disabled young adult and the attention he receives as a “walking spectacle,” combining sharp commentary with outrageous and relatable stories. He has headlined across the country, performed alongside Sam Morril, Gianmarco Soresi, and Dusty Slay, appeared at the Netflix Is a Joke festival, released a 2025 Dry Bar Comedy special, and appeared in the 2026 season of Netflix’s Star Search Reboot. Dom Hatton-Woods: A UK comedian and online creator whose material turns personal mishaps into self-deprecating, story-driven comedy. He covers dating, family, relationships, and the difficulties of adulthood, and has built an audience of more than 125,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram. His “Find a Wife” videos have received millions of views. He has supported Jamali Maddix on tour and is regarded as an emerging voice in UK comedy. His Instagram is @domhattonwoodscomedy.

Ty Colgate: A New York-based comedian and content creator who contrasts an upper-class appearance with a rowdy Florida upbringing. His energetic performances combine misdirection, satire, and observations about living between those two worlds. He has performed at venues including Union Chapel in London, Melbourne Recital Centre, Teatro Manzoni in Milan, and Punch Line locations in San Francisco and Sacramento. His festival appearances include Netflix Is a Joke, Nashville, Fountain City, Lookout, and Asheville. He regularly opens for Gianmarco Soresi and has featured for Mike Falzone, Morgan Jay, and Caitlin Peluffo. He is also an Emmy winner for his work at the Weather Channel.
