Twerk 2 Freedom

Twerk 2 Freedom is a 21+ club event bringing its Brooklyn-born party concept to Washington for the first time. The Black Friday edition centers east coast club sounds and music from across the Black diaspora, with DJs and artists delivering energetic, genre-blending sets intended to keep the dance floor moving throughout the night.

T2F began in Brooklyn in 2024 as a Martin Luther King Jr. weekend event and has grown toward its 10th edition, featuring more than 20 DJs across its events. This Washington stop is described as the first out-of-state edition, with sounds from Tromac, Dylan Ali, Bodegaparty, Znorthy, and Damnsh awtok! Tromac is a PG County DJ, curator, and producer known for high-energy sets that combine club music with unexpected genres. Dylan Ali is a multifaceted DC creative whose DJ work connects fashion, music, and underground-focused curation. Znorthy is a DC DJ and organizer affiliated with 140+, FWB DC, Xunt, and GhettoWitchez. Damnshawtok! has been active in the DC underground since 2015 and combines atmospheric trap influences with upbeat, melodic underground hip-hop. Bodegaparty, the force behind T2F, is an open-format DJ focused on east coast club music and an unpredictable, playful approach to the dance floor.
