Twelfth Night
Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy Summer Repertory brings the Class of 2026 to the stage with this production of *Twelfth Night*, William Shakespeare’s beloved comedy of shipwreck, mistaken identity, and romantic entanglement. Directed by Jess Chayes (who previously helmed STC’s *Jane Anger*), the play follows Viola as she washes ashore and disguises herself as a man, setting off a dizzying chain of romantic confusions that culminate in a double wedding. Chayes’ staging promises an energetic, actor-driven interpretation that foregrounds classical language and storytelling. The production runs approximately two hours and 45 minutes including one 15-minute intermission.
