D. Davis / Sun V Set / Vanessa Wills

D. Davis, Sun V Set, and Vanessa Wills share an evening of singer-songwriter and contemporary folk music at Rhizome DC. The lineup features two DC-based singer-songwriters alongside Richmond’s Sun V Set, whose ethereal folk sound blends dreamy vocals and lilting melodies with rhythmic acoustic guitar.

Sun V Set’s music draws on 1970s folk while balancing wistful nostalgia with a mystical, wandering quality. Nature-centered songwriting and mythic, otherworldly storytelling shape the project’s distinctive atmosphere, creating music that is both evocative and approachable.
