Swapmeet

Swapmeet brings its energetic indie-rock sound from South Australia to Songbyrd Music House, performing with support from Baby Wave. The four-piece is preparing its debut album on American indie label Winspear and will preview new material, including “I Know!”, a buoyant, cathartic track combining jangle pop, shoegaze, and alternative rock with fuzzy guitars and driving percussion.

The band formed in Adelaide in the early 2020s, drawing early inspiration from 1990s alternative acts such as Pavement and Sonic Youth. After releasing its first single in 2023 and the well-received *Oxalis* EP in 2024, Swapmeet expanded from local pub performances to opening for touring international artists across Australia. The group also received the Emerging Artist & Best Performance award at SXSW Sydney.
