Grand Piano Celebration 2026*

Grand Piano Celebration 2026 opens George Mason University’s 2026 Fall Concert season with a showcase honoring Mason’s designation as an All-Steinway School. Student and faculty artists from the Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music will perform solo, collaborative, and eight-hand piano repertoire at the Center for the Arts.

The concert will be led by Dr. Linda Apple Monson, International Steinway Artist and director of the Dewberry School of Music. The program includes Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals,” featuring duo-pianists Linda Apple Monson and Anna Balakerskaia with witty verses by poet Ogden Nash narrated by Rick Davis, dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Soprano Jennifer Casey Cabot will join Monson for Fernando Obradors’ “Classical Spanish Songs.” The performance concludes with an eight-hand work featuring Mason piano faculty Eunae Ko Han, John Paul Healey, Anna Balakerskaia, and Linda Apple Monson.

Tickets: $25 adults, $20 seniors, and $10 youth; prices include fees.

Student Tickets: A limited number of free student tickets will be available two Tuesdays before the performance.
