Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with Isata Kanneh-Mason

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra makes its debut at the Center for the Arts with a vibrant program that includes selections from Handel's Water Music, Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 27 in B-flat major, a new commission by Katie Jenkins titled *Elixir of Life*, and Haydn's Symphony No. 91 in E-flat major. The performance features the acclaimed British pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason, an ECHO Rising Star and recipient of the Leonard Bernstein Award, who joins the conductorless ensemble—celebrated for its collaborative artistry and spirited unanimity—for the Mozart concerto. A pre-performance discussion begins one hour prior, and the full program will be available online the week of the event.

When: Sunday, February 21, 2027 at 2 p.m.

Showtimes: 2 p.m. only, with a pre-performance discussion beginning at 1 p.m.

Tickets: $70, $60, and $45, with half-price admission for youth through Grade 12. All prices include fees. A limited quantity of free tickets is available for George Mason University students, distributed two Tuesdays before the event.

Run time: Approximately 110 minutes, plus one intermission.
