Docent-Led Clubhouse Tour

The Arts Club of Washington offers a docent-led tour of its historic clubhouse at 2017 I Street NW. The tour explores the club’s history since its founding in 1916, its activities, and notable members, along with the stories of former residents of the two mansions now occupied by the club, including President James Monroe, First Lady Elizabeth Monroe, and Civil War General Robert MacFeely.

Because the tour visits small spaces, attendance is limited and advance registration is recommended. Walk-in visitors may be admitted if space permits.

Registration: An RSVP is required to guarantee participation. Walk-ins are accommodated when possible.
