Daniel Nayeri - This is A Door - at The Writer's Center

Daniel Nayeri launches *This Is a Door* at The Writer’s Center in a Politics and Prose–partnered event. He will discuss the book’s inventive approach to storytelling and the craft behind its design.

The story follows a young boy on a hero’s journey to defeat the Giantess, accompanied by a mouse and a dog. As their journey progresses, the text itself changes—swirling and expanding with the travelers’ movement—until each character discovers the purpose they are seeking. The event is presented as a celebration of the book’s storytelling and physical craftsmanship.

Nayeri is an award-winning author of children’s and teen fiction. He was born in Iran, immigrated to Oklahoma, attended New York University, and now lives with his family in New Jersey. His recent work includes *The Teacher of Nomad Land*.
