Environmental Collaging is an interactive arts experience focused on environmental justice and visions of an ideal future. Participants will explore how environmental justice connects to their hopes for the future, then create artwork expressing that vision while relaxing with music, warm tea and light snacks in the CEDAR Gallery.

The event is part of NextNOW Fest, the University of Maryland’s multi-day arts festival presenting performances and other creative experiences by artists from the university and around the country. The festival is open to students, the general public and all other attendees.

Venue: Taliaferro Hall, CEDAR Gallery, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland

What to Expect: An exploration of environmental justice, a discussion of how it relates to an ideal future, and a hands-on opportunity to make artwork representing that vision. Relaxing music, warm tea and light snacks will be available.

Registration: Registration is available through the NextNOW Fest event registration link.

Accessibility: The Clarice offers wheelchair-accessible seating, size-inclusive seating, large-print programs, assisted listening devices, adult and child-friendly sensory packs, and quiet spaces upon request. ASL interpretation, audio description and captioning are available for selected events or by request at least six weeks in advance.
