Deceits

Los Angeles post-punk trio Deceits brings a passionate, melodic take on the genre to Pearl Street Warehouse, pairing melancholic soundscapes with energetic live performances. The bill also features Baltimore darkwave and synth-pop project Computer Kill, led by songwriter and producer Noah Schippers, along with Münster.

Formed in late 2021, Deceits takes its name from a song by the obscure British band The Wild Flowers. The trio has built a following in the goth and alternative underground with a sound influenced by The Cure, Human Tetris, Motorama, The Chameleons, and For Against, while drawing on influences beyond traditional goth. The band independently released its debut album, *If There’s No Heaven…*, in November 2023. Its subsequent activity has included U.S. touring, a headlining performance at Los Angeles’s El Rey Theatre, appearances with The Chameleons and Diva Destruction, and an invitation to the 2025 Cruel World Festival.

Deceits: Kevin “Puppy” Moreno handles vocals, bass guitar, and keyboards; Skylar Francise plays guitar; and Francisco Saenz performs percussion.

Computer Kill: This Baltimore-based project combines post-punk intensity with brooding electronic textures. Founded in 2022 and spearheaded by Noah Schippers, Computer Kill is known for cathartic live performances and a darkwave- and synth-pop-influenced sound.
