Deceits
Deceits brings its passionate, melodic take on post-punk to Pearl Street, joined by Baltimore electronic post-punk project Computer Kill. Formed in Los Angeles in 2021, Deceits combines melancholic soundscapes with energetic performances, drawing from goth and alternative influences without limiting itself to a cold or strictly traditional post-punk sound.
The trio consists of Kevin “Puppy” Moreno on vocals, bass, and keyboards; Skylar Francise on guitar; and Francisco Saenz on percussion. The band released its debut album, *If There’s No Heaven…*, independently in November 2023. Its songs include “Drowning In An Empty Sea” and “Mi Amor, Mi Vampira.” Deceits has toured throughout the United States, headlined the El Rey Theater, performed alongside The Chameleons and Diva Destruction, and appeared at the 2025 Cruel World Festival. The group cites The Cure, New Order, Human Tetris, The Chameleons, and Bauhaus among its touchstones.
Computer Kill is led by Baltimore songwriter and producer Noah Schippers. The project blends urgent post-punk with darkwave, synth-driven pop, and brooding electronic textures, and is known for intense, cathartic live shows.
