Free Whenever

Free Whenever brings an improvisational, genre-blending sound to the Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage. The band draws on long-form improvisation rooted in ancient practice, allowing collective subconscious ideas to emerge through raw feelings and sounds. Their music fuses vintage psychedelia, dub reggae, far Eastern and African influences, funk, and soul, creating a full synesthetic experience with hypnotic bass and guitar melodies over pulsing rhythms. Free Whenever has built a following through dynamic live shows and tours across North America, sharing stages with artists like Karina Rykman, BALTHVS, and TAUK, and performing at venues such as Brooklyn Bowl and Sony Music Hall. The band’s upcoming album, *Dissolve*, is due in fall 2026.
