Saturday Morning Family Happy Hour: The Great Zucchini

Saturday Morning Family Happy Hour brings children’s entertainer The Great Zucchini to Jammin Java for a lively, laughter-filled morning show. A fixture of the Washington, DC, metropolitan area for three decades, The Great Zucchini is known for magic and entertainment designed especially for preschoolers.

The performance is part of Jammin Java and Union Stage Presents’ 25th anniversary concert series. The celebration also includes commemorative merchandise available through the anniversary gift shop.

About the performer: The Great Zucchini has performed approximately 750 shows a year, earned numerous awards, and been named the DC area’s top children’s entertainer by four magazines. He has also lectured at professional conferences about performing magic for preschool audiences.

Performance history: His credits include appearances at the 9:30 Club and the DC Improv, where he was the only children’s entertainer to perform. He has also presented more than 400 shows at Jammin Java, a venue he considers especially meaningful.
