PubliQuartet: RhythmNation
PUBLIQuartet presents *RhythmNation*, an energetic program that reshapes the traditional string quartet through the sounds and rhythms of American music. Inspired in part by Janet Jackson’s landmark album *Rhythm Nation*, the concert brings together musical influences that cross cultures, generations, and artistic traditions.
The program features newly commissioned works alongside music by Daniel Bernard Roumain, Jlin, Henry Threadgill, Jeff Scott, Fodé Lassana Diabaté, Mazz Swift, and Eddie Venegas. Drawing on hip-hop, jazz, Afro-Cuban music, and other traditions, the performance highlights the ensemble’s adventurous approach and virtuosic playing.
