The Immigrant
The Immigrant is a new physical comedy from Synetic Theater, adapted by Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili from the classic 1918 silent comedy. The story follows a newcomer arriving in early 20th-century New York, capturing the trials, mishaps, and high hopes of the American immigrant journey through Synetic’s signature wordless movement style. As a theater founded and populated by immigrant artists, Synetic makes this story deeply personal, bringing great heart and innovative physical comedy to the legacy of the original film.
