Docent-Led Clubhouse Tour
The Docent-Led Clubhouse Tour offers a guided look at the Arts Club of Washington’s historic home at 2017 I Street NW. The tour explores the club’s founding in 1916, its activities and membership, and the history of the two mansions it occupies, including former residents such as President James Monroe, First Lady Elizabeth Monroe, and Civil War General Robert MacFeely.
Attendance is limited because of the clubhouse’s small interior spaces. An RSVP is required to guarantee a place, although walk-ins may be admitted if space allows.
