Cinema Art Bethesda: Life Is LIfe

Cinema Art Bethesda presents a screening of Riccardo Milani’s award-winning 2025 Italian film *Life Is Life* (*La vita va così*) as part of its monthly film series. Set on the southern Sardinian coast, the film follows an elderly shepherd who refuses to sell his family’s land to a developer planning a luxury resort. As pressure mounts and the offers grow more attractive, his daughter must weigh her loyalty to her family’s heritage against the prospect of a better future. Inspired by true events, the film offers a warm, occasionally humorous portrait of a community divided over its future.

The film is followed by a discussion, with complimentary bagels, coffee, and tea available for attendees.
