Way Dynamic

Way Dynamic is the solo project of Melbourne musician Dylan Young, appearing at Union Stage while presenting material from *Massive Shoe*, his playful and understated third album. The record combines minimalist folk-pop, art rock, and baroque pop with luminous, textured arrangements, moving between heartfelt sentiment and deliberately silly or surreal imagery.

Young produced and performed most of the album. His other musical work includes playing with Melbourne groups Cool Sounds and Good Morning, as well as drumming for Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra. Way Dynamic has also been taken on tour by Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield and MJ Lenderman, while Elton John has praised the song “Ibiza.” The music ranges from songs about a carefree journey through hell to reflections on miscommunication, space travel, and a trip along the Seine.
