BrownTown brings a sold-out, fan-favorite celebration of South Asian comedy back to the DC Improv main room. Presented by and featuring Badar Tareen, a civil rights lawyer and award-winning comedian, the show assembles top South Asian comedians from across the nation for a high-energy night of stand-up. The lineup includes headliner Adam Mamawala, along with Farooq Hussain, Swetha Ramesh, Benny Nwokeabia, and Joey Friedman. A signature element of the evening is a wildly popular Q&A segment in which Tareen asks an unrehearsed, outrageous question about race to a white comedian. The show has consistently sold out as the DMV’s largest South Asian stand-up event.
