Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets

Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets is a collaboration between Clarice Presents and Busboys and Poets featuring D.C.-based saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed. Balbed’s band will open with a set, after which audience members can join a community-wide jam by bringing an instrument and calling a tune. Participation is encouraged but optional.

Format: Balbed’s band performs a set beginning at 7:30 p.m., followed by an open jam session for attendees who wish to participate.

Participation: Guests may bring an instrument and call a tune during the jam. Joining the performance is optional.
