Eric Scott Trio

Eric Scott Trio brings Washington, DC singer, songwriter, and bassist Eric Scott’s “Modern Soul” to Hank Dietle’s Tavern for an intimate live performance. Scott is joined by Dan Leonard and Deren Blessman.

The trio’s music combines contemporary R&B, funk, rock, blues, gospel, soul, and pop songwriting, with infectious hooks, strong grooves, heartfelt vocals, and socially conscious, personal lyrics. The performance celebrates Scott’s newest release, a collection of 10 original songs.

Scott is an 18-time Wammie Award winner who has toured internationally and performed with B.B. King, Mavis Staples, Aaron Neville, REO Speedwagon, and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. His music has appeared on major television networks and in films, and his gospel-influenced voice has been used in national advertising. His musical influences range from Marvin Gaye and Carole King to Dave Brubeck and Black Sabbath.
