Dear Reader: Local Author Book Pitches

Dear Reader: Local Author Book Pitches is a fast-paced literary showcase bringing D.C.’s independent writing community to Dupont Underground during October’s First Friday. Hosted by local author and artist Theodore Carter, the event gives five to six local authors five minutes each to pitch their books directly to the audience in a rapid-fire format.

Attendees can discover lesser-known books, meet local writers, and purchase copies on site. The event also offers an opportunity to visit Dupont Underground’s newly installed Local Author Bookshelf, featuring work by 22 authors published by small presses, and to explore the venue’s current art exhibitions.
