SEX FACES bring their chaotic punk energy to Songbyrd Music House on July 3, 2026, celebrating the release of their debut full-length, *BAD VIBES OST*. Recorded and mixed in April 2024 under the ever-present shadow of Boner 4Ever by Dan Angel and produced by Ben Schurr, this 11-track dose of chaotic energy is the sound of a band that knows exactly what it’s doing — and doesn’t care if you like it or not. The lineup is Jacky Cougar (Des Demonas, Thee Lolitas) on drums, Sal Go (Stop Worrying & Love the Bomb, The NVs) on guitar, Hana Racecar (Tadzio, Coven Tree) on viola, and Neil Cobra (Teen Cobra) on bass, together churning out a sound that drags the droney madness of the Velvet Underground through the gutter, filters it through The Fall’s acerbic wit, and ties it all together with the punk attack of The Damned and the scuzzy swagger of Royal Trux. Critics have called them “a disjointed maelstrom played up to the brink of falling apart” and “crazy, sexy, and cool,” with Lars Gotrich of Tinydesk noting they are “one of the best bands to come out of D.C. in a minute.” The supporting acts, Burden’s Landing and FANTAZMA, each bring their own distinct sound to round out the evening.

Supporting Acts: Burden’s Landing is a Washington, DC-based band with Noah Mullinax on guitar and vocals, Christian Scott James on drums, and Jorge E. Bañales on bass, blending grunge, shoegaze, and indie rock into a range from laid-back to in-your-face. FANTAZMA was formed in 2019 by Fabio Rubiera (guitar, vocals) and Sean Gorena (drums), later joined by Gloria Aldana on bass, playing heavy, energetic punk with genre-bending influences; they have released two EPs, ¡Candela! (2023) and ¡OYE! (2025), and a live album, Live At The Pocket (2025).
