Timur: Songs of Love & Satire
Timur: Songs of Love & Satire is part of the Russian Chamber Art Society’s 20th Anniversary Season. In this passionate, witty concert, Kazakh-American tenor Timur revisits the Soviet songs of his childhood to examine the connections among identity, politics, and history. He performs with pianist Matt Podd and violinist Yvette Cornelia Holzwarth. Admission also includes a post-concert reception featuring wine, light hors d’oeuvres, and desserts.

Showtimes: The performance runs from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and close promptly at 7:30 p.m.; attendees should allow extra time for security screening.

Entry requirements: Every attendee must have a reservation in their own name and present a government-issued photo ID that matches the name on the ticket. Guests should bring a valid photo ID and an Eventbrite ticket, either printed or displayed on a phone. Ticket information can be updated through Eventbrite if guest names need to be added.
Security: All guests are subject to screening. Umbrellas, large bags, backpacks, animals, liquids, food, blunt objects, helmets, and other items considered dangerous by Embassy security are prohibited and may be confiscated.
Parking: The venue has no on-site parking. Metered parking is available on Reservoir Road for $2.30 per hour, with a four-hour maximum until 10:00 p.m. Garage parking is available at Georgetown MedStar Health via Entrance No. 2 at 2800 Reservoir Road NW, at approximately $25 for up to three hours.
