BONUS! Collectors View: Joan & Bruce Weber

Bruce and Joan Weber welcome Transformer Collectors View members and their guests to their Silver Spring home for an intimate viewing of works from the Webers’ extensive collection. The collection spans celebrated DMV painters, sculptors, digital creators, and performance artists active from the 1980s through today—including John Winslow, J.J. McCracken, Margaret Boozer, Lee Newman, Mark Behme, Erik Thor Sandburg, Inga Frick, Rafael Rodriguez, and many others. In addition, the home features works from Oracle, Arizona by James G. Davis, Andrew Rush, Charles Littler, Fox McGrew, and Bailey Doogan, as well as photographs by New Mexico photographer Lee Marmon. Many of these pieces are currently on view in the exhibition *Humanist Touch: Works from the Weber Collection* at the American University Museum at the Katzen Arts Center, and the Webers have borrowed nine additional large works from John Winslow’s estate (some never publicly shown before) plus a large painting by Washington Color School artist Bill Hill for this special viewing. The exhibition closes the following day, Sunday, May 17, and guests are encouraged to visit.
