Ebril
Ebril features Iraqi Canadian artist Huda Al-Hamami, who performs under the name Ebril, pronounced “ehh-breel.” Her debut album, *In Copula*, moves from dusk to dawn through a blend of folk, ambient, and shoegaze influences. The music incorporates field recordings of nature captured outside her bedroom window in Hamilton, Ontario, alongside sounds from the streets of Amman, Jordan, the city where she spent her childhood.
The opening track, “Stranger in You,” surpassed 1 billion TikTok views in July 2025. Ebril’s work is rooted in empathy and a commitment to social justice, environmental concerns, youth inspiration, and greater representation for female Middle Eastern artists in mainstream music.
