Iraqi Canadian artist Huda Al-Hamami performs as Ebril (pronounced “ehh-breel”). Her debut album, *In Copula*, reflects years of developing her sound in Hamilton, Ontario, and moves between folk, ambient music, and shoegaze. The album follows an arc from dusk to dawn, combining songs with nature recordings made near her bedroom window in Hamilton and sounds recorded in Amman, Jordan, the city where she grew up.

Ebril’s opening track, “Stranger in You,” gained significant attention in July 2025 after exceeding one billion TikTok views. Al-Hamami’s work also emphasizes empathy, social justice, environmental concerns, and broader representation for Middle Eastern women in mainstream music.
