An Evening with ACOUSTIC ALCHEMY brings the Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz group to the Birchmere for a single intimate performance. Known for their genre-blending sound that weaves together jazz, reggae, and folk, the band is currently celebrating the release of their latest EP “The Empire of Lights,” a four-track collection that includes “8,000 Miles,” “Alisio,” “Back to Back,” and “Other People.” Guitarists Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale offer personal reflections on the EP and the band’s 35‑year journey, emphasizing their commitment to creating music they love without chasing trends.
