Vauhini Vara

Vauhini Vara discusses her book “Searches: Selfhood in the Digital Age,” a work that combines journalism and memoir to examine how big technology companies exploit human communication and how people participate in that process. She will consider what it means to build and express a sense of self in the digital age.

The book has received broad recognition, including being named one of The New York Times’ and other publications’ most anticipated books, one of Publishers Weekly’s 10 Best Books of the Year, and one of Esquire’s best books of the year.
