701 21st Street Northwest, Washington, DC

Revolutionary Echoes in Washington is a free, long-running exhibition at the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum that delves into the formative decades of the nation's capital. Through rare maps, original letters, and period illustrations, the show examines how early American ideals—debates over governance, democracy, and identity—shaped Washington, D.C., during its first century. Visitors are also invited to participate in the nationwide Wish Wall project, where they can write down their own hopes for America's future, adding a personal, interactive dimension to the historical narrative.

When: April 11, 2026, through November 7, 2026.
Tickets: Free admission; no ticket required.
Venue: GW Museum & The Textile Museum, located on the George Washington University campus.
Note: The Wish Wall project allows guests to contribute their own aspirations for the country, connecting the exhibition’s historical themes with contemporary civic reflection.
