Meditation in the Galleries is a 45-minute guided meditation led by artist, teacher, and certified yoga instructor Jeneen Piccuirro. The session uses crystal singing bowls and takes place in the Kreeger Museum’s indoor Terrace Gallery, surrounded by works including pieces by Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró. Seating is provided, and participants may request either a chair or a mat when making their reservation.

Showtime: The meditation begins promptly at 10:00am. The page says the front doors open at 9:50am so participants can be seated, although a later check-in note on the page says the doors open at 10:00am.

Run time: 45 minutes

Tickets: Meditation admission is $30. Meditation combined with museum admission is $45.

Program: Piccuirro leads a guided meditation accompanied by crystal singing bowls. Participants remain seated for the entire program.

Gallery: The indoor Terrace Gallery, featuring works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and other artists.

What to bring: Water bottles and yoga mats are not permitted inside the museum.

Instructor background: Jeneen Piccuirro is a professional artist, educator, belly dancer, and certified yoga teacher who has studied with sound-healing practitioners internationally. She holds an undergraduate degree in art and an MFA in painting and develops programs combining dance, sound, healing, art, and meditation. Her teaching experience includes American University, Georgetown University, Swarthmore College, Dartmouth College, the Chautauqua Institution, Washington Studio School, and The Kreeger Museum. She currently leads art, yoga, meditation, dance, and sound-healing workshops and retreats in the Washington, DC, area and abroad.

Parking: Limited parking is available on site. The museum’s circular forecourt is reserved for handicapped parking only.

Cancellations: Participants should email the museum as soon as possible if they need to cancel so their place can be offered to someone else. No refunds are issued within 24 hours of the program.
