The Meaning of Home: A Treasures Zine Project

The Meaning of Home: A Treasures Zine Project is a hands-on workshop inviting participants to explore home and belonging through personal stories, memories, traditions, people, places, and treasured objects. Visitors will use photographs, drawings, words, collage, and other creative materials to make a one-of-a-kind zine and leave with a personal keepsake. No prior art or zine-making experience is needed.

Showtimes: 12:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.; drop-in workshop

Venue: National Museum of African American History and Culture, Second Floor Classroom

Activity: Participants can bring up to three printed personal photos to incorporate into their artwork. All other materials are provided.
