Work In Progress Screening - The Luthier: The Ballad of Amnon Weinstein
This advance screening presents *The Luthier: The Ballad of Amnon Weinstein*, a nearly finished feature documentary by Jon Adelman and Justin Toops. The film follows master craftsman Amnon Weinstein and his lifelong work restoring violins, including the renowned Holocaust-era collection known as the Violins of Hope. The collection became the focus of Weinstein’s devotion and ultimately his legacy.
As a Docs In Progress Work In Progress presentation, the screening is also an opportunity to help shape the film before picture lock. The filmmakers will attend and are seeking candid audience reactions about what is working and what still needs refinement. Docs In Progress has operated this flagship program since 2004, using rough-cut screenings to connect filmmakers with audiences and provide feedback; the program has supported more than 150 filmmakers, some of whom later received major festival recognition, national broadcasts, Peabody and Emmy honors, or Oscar Shortlist placements.

Parking and arrival: The venue entrance is on Apple Avenue, around the corner from Alexander House. The Cameron Street garage is open 24 hours and charges on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; rates are $1 per hour for the first four hours and 65 cents per hour thereafter. Garage parking is free after 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, as well as on weekends and federal holidays. Drivers must note their parking-space number and pay at a station with cash or a card, or through the ParkMobile or MobileNow apps. Limited metered street parking may also be available nearby; most spaces require payment during the daytime Monday through Saturday and have one- or two-hour limits. Do not park or stop in spaces reserved for police.
