William Basinski

William Basinski is a Los Angeles–based experimental composer, sound sculptor, and video artist whose work explores the emotional possibilities of sound and analog technology. His deeply textured compositions include *The Disintegration Loops* and *Lamentations*. He has presented his work internationally at venues and institutions including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Venice Biennale, and London’s Union Chapel.
