Jeremy Short
Jeremy Short brings his Appalachian space-funk sound to Jammin’ Java, combining blues-rock guitar, psychedelic textures, soulful vocals, and forceful grooves. The performance highlights Short’s guitar work and his collaboration with Jared James Nichols on “Until We’re Done,” a high-energy track built around dueling guitar solos and a hazy, psychedelic atmosphere. The show may appeal to fans of Eddie 9V, Nik Parr & The Selfless Lovers, and Gov’t Mule.
“Until We’re Done” grew from Short taking a chance on a longtime guitar hero: he sent Nichols a demo and an unsolicited pitch, eventually bringing Nichols into the recording to contribute lead parts. The song was recorded at Pine Box Studio in Nashville with producer Justin Francis, whose previous credits include Leon Bridges and Tedeschi Trucks Band. The release also coincides with Short joining the Weymann Guitars family, an endorsement connecting his modern guitar style with the historic American instrument maker.
