Fahim Anwar

Fahim Anwar brings his sharp, light-hearted observational stand-up to DC Improv for a weekend of performances. The engagement follows his third special, “House Money,” and marks his fourth headlining weekend at the venue. A former aerospace engineer from Seattle, Anwar is also known for his work in sketch comedy, television writing, acting, and podcasting.

His credits include appearances on *CONAN*, *Late Night with Seth Meyers*, and the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. His earlier special, “Hat Trick,” was filmed at the Comedy Store and recognized by the *Los Angeles Times* as one of the year’s best specials. Anwar has acted in *Whiskey Tango Foxtrot*, *Neighbors*, and *Drunk History*, and was a member of the sketch group GOATFACE alongside Hasan Minhaj, Aristotle Athiras, and Asif Ali.

About the performer: Anwar is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He was named one of *Variety*’s 2019 Comics to Watch and has been a guest on both *The Joe Rogan Experience* and *WTF with Marc Maron*. His comedy group GOATFACE also produced a sketch-show special for Comedy Central, on which Anwar served as head writer and performer.
