DC Moth StorySLAM: CARETAKERS

DC Moth StorySLAM: CARETAKERS is a live storytelling event focused on the people who provide care, support, and help when it is needed most. The evening invites personal stories about selfless parents, family members caring for children or older relatives, friends and strangers who step in during a crisis, and the often-unseen labor of caregiving.

Stories may explore acts of service, obligation, love, and perseverance, from organizing a meal train or sharing the playlist that helped someone through a difficult period to offering tough love, a place to stay, or hands-on care during a rough patch. Audience members and storytellers are encouraged to consider who they have relied on and whom they have supported.
