The Italian Collection: A Guided Tour examines the evolution of Italian painting through works by major artists including Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo, Giorgione, and others. The tour explores the history surrounding the paintings, the artists who created them, and the cultural world in which they lived. It includes discussion of Leonardo’s portrait of Ginevra de’ Benci and the reasons he may have portrayed her in that way.
The program is presented in both English and Italian, with separate tour times.
