Sillygander
Sillygander is a free monthly improv-comedy gathering from Resonance Improv Alliance, designed as a welcoming midweek escape for teens, adults, local creatives, and anyone curious about improv. The interactive evening removes the usual boundary between audience and performers, combining a beginner-friendly workshop with a spontaneous live comedy jam.
The event welcomes absolute beginners as well as experienced community performers. Participants will explore active listening, the “Yes, And” principle, spontaneous agreement, and trust-building through collaborative games and foundational exercises. Afterward, local indie ensembles, veteran community players, and workshop graduates will create unscripted scenes based on audience suggestions.

Schedule: The introductory workshop begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Showtime Jam at 6:10 p.m. The event ends at 7:00 p.m.
Workshop: The 40-minute introductory session is led by instructors from the Resonance network and is intended for absolute beginners and people who are simply curious about trying improv.
Performance: The live jam features local indie ensembles, veteran community players, and participants from the workshop. Performances are created spontaneously from audience suggestions, so the comedy and scenes will be unpredictable.
Tickets: Free. No ticket, RSVP, preregistration, or confirmation code is required. Eventbrite registration is available to help organizers plan but is not required for attendance.
Ages: Intended for teens and adults ages 16 and older.
Content note: Because the material is improvised, the content is unpredictable and generally falls somewhere between a PG-13 and R-rated baseline.
