Ella Fitzgerald comes to life at Olney Theatre Center’s Mulitz-Gudelsky Theatre Lab in a multi-day musical production celebrating the legendary first lady of jazz. This installment of the Lab Lounge series features local favorite Anitra McKinney, who channels Fitzgerald’s warmth, wit, and vocal brilliance through a curated selection of her most beloved songs. The program draws from a rich catalog that spans standards such as “Mack the Knife,” “How High the Moon,” “It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing),” and “Someone to Watch Over Me,” offering audiences a intimate evening of timeless jazz in a cabaret-style setting.
