Walking Tour: Northeast Modernist Architecture

Join the DC Preservation League for a guided walking tour of Black-built Modernist architecture along Benning Road in Washington, DC. Led by Imania Price, a Historic Preservation Specialist with the DC Historic Preservation Office, the tour travels approximately one mile from Benning Road Metro Station to Minnesota Avenue Metro Station.

The tour is open to the public, though space is limited and advance registration is encouraged.

Route: Approximately 1 mile, beginning at Benning Road Metro Station and ending at Minnesota Avenue Metro Station

Starting location: Entrance of Benning Road Metro Station, served by the Blue and Silver Lines

Ending location: Minnesota Avenue Metro Station, served by the Orange and Silver Lines
