Hanna Notte discusses *We Shall Outlast Them: Putin’s Global Campaign to Defeat the West*, her account of how Russia’s confrontation with the United States and Europe became a worldwide campaign following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine. She examines how Putin’s government has adapted to wartime conditions, evaded sanctions, built unexpected alliances, cultivated support in the Global South, and spread fear within Western societies.

Notte also traces the roles of propagandists, diplomats, businesspeople, and covert operatives, alongside the experiences of civilians and others drawn into Russia’s agenda. Drawing on reporting from more than a dozen countries, the book explores Russia’s wartime strategy and its continuing influence around the world. Notte will be joined in conversation by Anton Troianovski, a *New York Times* reporter covering U.S. foreign relations and the effects of American policy abroad.
