Freddie: A Girl

Freddie: A Girl is a world-premiere play by Taffety Punk company member Kelsey Mesa, the award-winning author of La Salpêtrière. It tells the staggering true story of Truus and Freddie Oversteegen, teenage sisters who joined the Dutch Resistance during the Nazi occupation and became spies, saboteurs, and assassins. The production is directed by Lise Bruneau and represents Generator number 26, Taffety Punk’s initiative that gives company members time and space to develop new works.
