Substrate Pres. Wata Igarashi

Substrate returns to Transmission for its tenth edition, presenting Japanese DJ and producer Wata Igarashi on a special Thursday night. Known for immersive, psychedelic-leaning techno, Igarashi brings a carefully refined sound shaped by his work as both a producer and sound professional.

His productions have appeared through Midgar, The Bunker NY, DJ Nobu’s Bitta label, Semantica, and Time to Express. His DJ sets explore deep, trippy, and hypnotic territory within the techno tradition associated with Japan, spanning styles from dub and acid techno to minimal and Detroit-influenced sounds.
