Yotam Ottolenghi
Yotam Ottolenghi discusses his new cookbook, *Simple Too*, in conversation with chef and television host Carla Hall. The event explores how the idea of “simple” has changed in a world of constant notifications, while emphasizing Ottolenghi’s signature bold flavors and vegetable-forward cooking. He will share recipes designed to be flexible and achievable, including dishes that can begin with only a rough plan and still become satisfying meals.
Ottolenghi will also discuss techniques and ingredients featured in the book, such as simply dressed beans, black chickpeas, generous amounts of sesame, sweet-and-spicy combinations, pasta cooked directly in its sauce, and complete meals roasted in one tray. He will introduce the book’s “Fundamentals” chapter, which offers 15 ready-to-use flavor builders, including spring onion oil, green salsa, za’atar oil, confit tomatoes, and chili crisp. The conversation will also touch on Ottolenghi’s career and cookbooks, including *Plenty*, *Jerusalem*, *Simple*, *Flavor*, and *Sweet*, as well as his delis and restaurants.
